Lush Love Spell Massage Bar

Happy Valentine’s Day lovelies! I hope you’re having a wonderful day, even if you aren’t doing all the typical romantic things, it’s all about sharing the love with those that you care about anyway. Feeling seasonal as ever, today on my blog I wanted to share another Lush product from their Valentine’s collection. In a recent post, I told you how I’m currently completely obsessed with the Unicorn Horn bubble bar but today I wanted to share my thoughts on the Love Spell Massage Bar.

I was pretty lucky as my boyfriend picked this up for me as a little surprise just because, but I had been eyeing it up a few weeks ago. For those of you already interested in buying one, the 50g bar, this product costs £5.95 which isn’t too costly as massage bars tend to last for quite a few uses.

With a pretty pink love heart exterior, this bar has key ingredients of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera with a very noticeable floral scent. As these products are obviously very hydrating and moisturising, this means that the bar turns creamy more quickly than other massage bars that Lush have on offer. This is quite a nice touch and means that you don’t have to spend too long warming the bar between your hands before you use it.

Not only are massage bars beautifully scented and relaxing, but they also are great for aching muscles and really do help to ease the pain. My favourite time to use massage bars is when I want to chill out after a tough workout but to be honest, I wouldn’t say no to using them on any other day either. What’s most noticeably appealing about this massage bar for me is the love heart design. I’m such a girl and I love products that have hearts on them. But I think the floral scent goes really well with the love heart design, making it perfect for a Valentine’s collection.

I ended up using this on my back as I tend to have really achey back muscles whether I’ve exercised or not. Afterwards, I felt as though the knots in my back had cleared leaving me feel incredibly relaxed which in turn, led to a super relaxed night’s sleep. This is always a super welcome result. I also found that my skin felt so smooth and moisturised without leaving an oily residue. I completely loved this bar and I’m so gutted that it’s only part of the Valentine’s collection – I really need to stock up! What’s your favourite massage bar?

  1. Oh my goodness that sounds like a dream, I’ve been having the worst shoulder pain- definitely have a knot back there, I think this is a perfect excuse to order me one of those!!!

    1. Definitely one of the best things I’ve used to help ease muscle pain. They’ve got so many options, let me know what one you decide to go for!

  2. Ohh I haven’t tried the massage bars :-/, I’d never have thought they’re good for achey muscles! I need to try them, pronto! This one looks cute with all the hearts. Not a bad price either when you think about it, you pay that for a one time use bath bomb (I have a stash of bath bombs) x

  3. That looks sooo gorge! I’m so bad when I go in to Lush, I tend to gravitate only towards the bubble bars/bath bombs – might just be time to branch out! Thanks for sharing 🙂 xx

    1. If you do get one, I’d love to know what you think!
